Job Description
Produce a private family biography for print via Amazon KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing). The completed, edited manuscript will be provided as a Word document.
- Format the Word document to Amazon KDP interior print specifications, including trim size, margins, bleed, fonts, and page numbering.
- Ensure images are correctly positioned and meet print resolution requirements.
- Check that Arabic and Urdu text renders correctly throughout.
- Set up the KDP submission, including the interior file, cover coordination, and metadata.
- Order and review a physical proof copy before final approval.
- Clearly flag print or formatting issues before publication.
This is a focused, short-term engagement.
Job Specification
- Direct, hands-on experience publishing books through Amazon KDP, including books you have formatted and published.
- Portfolio examples or titles of books you have published or formatted.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word or InDesign for book formatting.
- Thorough, detail-oriented approach to producing print-ready files.
- Clear communication and ability to flag problems rather than guess.
