Vacancies Announced at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur

Applications Invited:
Pakistani Nationals are invited to apply for the following positions in the Department of Siraiki and University College of Nursing (UCN) at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur.

1. Professor (BPS-21) - Department of Siraiki

Criteria for Regular/Contract Appointment:

  • PhD in a relevant field from an HEC-recognized institution.
  • 3 years of teaching/research experience at an HEC-recognized university or postgraduate institution, or 12 years of post-PhD teaching/research experience.
  • 15 research publications (at least 5 in the last 5 years) in journals recognized by HEC.

Criteria for Tenure Track System (TTS):

  • PhD from an HEC-recognized institution in the relevant field.
  • 11 years of post-PhD experience with a minimum of 7 years post-PhD experience, and 12 years prior to PhD experience in teaching, research, or professional experience.

2. Assistant Professor (BPS-19) - University College of Nursing

Criteria:

  • RN, RM with Post RN, MSN/MIPH/MPH.
  • 3-5 years of teaching and administration experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 publications in recognized Nursing/Health Sciences journals (at least 1 in the last 2 years).
  • Valid PNC License.

3. Lecturer - University College of Nursing

Criteria:

  • RN, RM with MSN/MSPH/MPH.
  • 3-5 years of teaching and administration experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 publications in recognized Nursing/Health Sciences journals (at least 1 in the last 2 years).
  • Valid PNC License.
  • Must attach an Equivalence Certificate from HEC or PNC.
  • If a degree has not been issued, a certificate/notification signed by the Controller of Examination of the awarding university may be accepted.

Submission of Hard Copies:

  • Submit 5 complete sets of applications for Professor positions and 2 sets for Assistant Professor and Lecturer positions.
  • Include attested copies of degrees, certificates, one photograph for each set, and a copy of the online fee challan (non-refundable):
    • Rs. 5000 for Professor
    • Rs. 3000 for Assistant Professor
    • Rs. 1500 for Lecturer
  • Mail the hard copies to: Office of the Deputy Registrar (N), Room No. 104, First Floor, Abbasia Campus, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Phone: 062-9255873

Deadline:

  • Hard copies must be received by 07.10.2024, which is 3 days after the online application deadline.

Special Persons:

  • Exempted from job application fees. Attach a disability certificate issued by the Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Mal Department.
