We are looking for a highly-determined, highly-curious, experienced UX Designer to lead our design strategy. This person will work collaboratively with a team of product managers, program managers and engineers to improve how employees interact with their job and WBC. You'll drive UX design vision from early-stage concepts all the way through final delivery and launch. Candidates must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed in a fast-paced environment with a high-degree of independence and ownership to thrive in collaborative work environments.

Key job responsibilities:
  1. Create elegant and intuitive user experiences by incorporating user insights, business requirements and technical constraints.
  2. Lead the planning and strategic phases of a project. Proactively pitch new CX ideas, backed by a strong, well-articulated rationale.
  3. Quickly and iteratively create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, high fidelity mockups with detailed visual design specifications for mobile interfaces throughout the design process.
  4. Independently deliver UX solutions for problems of large scope and complexity. Work through ambiguity, and adapt your approach to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders.
  5. Be a champion for user-centered design by partnering with researchers to test your solutions in front of users; and be willing to build lightweight prototypes, conduct scrappy and quick user testing on your own if required.
  6. Present design work to UX, Product, and Engineering teams, as well as stakeholders and executive leadership.
  7. Contribute to user experience design guidelines and development best practices and standards at WBC Design Community.
A day in your life:

The UX Designer will be working with product, program and engineering stakeholders closely on a day-to-day basis. This designer will share design work regularly with design team peer review, stakeholder review and leadership. More importantly, every work day is full of fun, engagement and building meaningful connections with each other and the work will improve the work experience of more than a million WBC employees.

Basic Qualifications:
  1. 1+ years of design experience
  2. Experience in a variety of design tools such as Sketch, Figma, InVision, Principle, Framer JS, Flinto, Illustrator, Adobe XD
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience in user-centered design solutions and product design innovation. Must illustrate solving for multi-platform UX challenges and demonstrate scalable, user-friendly design solutions.
  2. Experience planning and executing effective customer research, solo, or in partnership with a UX Researcher.
  3. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and solid design instincts who can translate user and business needs into fantastic solutions.
  4. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  5. Strong visual design skills to complement your UX skill.
  6. A strong track record of iterative design, working closely with product and tech partners from inception through implementation.
  7. Ability to work gracefully and have a bias for action in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment.
  8. Ability to drive the design review cycle and close on design requirements independently.
  9. Fluency in best design practices across mobile, web platforms and devices, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques.
