Business Analyst - Financial Planning & Analysis Department

Time

5:00PM - 2:00AM, Monday to Friday

Location

Civic Center, Phase IV, Bharia Town, Rawalpindi

Position Objective

Drive day‑to‑day financial insight and operational discipline across 40+ U.S. hubs. Analysts partner with warehouse managers to convert operational data (labor punches, yard status, inbound/outbound schedules, trailer dwell, claims, utilities, scans, and event logs) into actionable performance intelligence. Analysts execute the analytics cycle, surface exceptions, and push continuous‑improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the Warehouse Manager by preparing daily schedules for yard operations, inbound receipts, and outbound dispatches based on sales forecasts/orders registered.
  2. Calculate the precise staffing requirements for each activity and identify excessive/idle hours.
  3. Track trailer/container dwell and drive aged‑equipment alerts to the Warehouse Manager.
  4. Produce daily activity heat‑maps to identify idle labor and bottlenecks.
  5. Improve the efficiency of controllable P&L lines and analyze adverse variances with root‑cause analysis.
  6. Analyze damage claim trends and propose counter‑measures.
  7. Benchmark utilities spend against volume, throughput, floor area, and staff; recommend corrective actions.
  8. Manage daily reporting cadences, ensuring on‑time delivery to the Warehouse Manager and vice presidents.
  9. Champion continuous‑improvement initiatives with warehouse managers and quantify savings.
  10. Extract data from time‑punch, WMS, routing, and utilities; build Excel models (pivot, Power Query, VBA/macros) to identify inefficiencies and cost leakages.
  11. Coordinate with BI team to migrate Excel models into Power BI reports.
Qualification & Experience
  • Education: BBA / BS in Accounting & Finance / BS in Supply‑Chain. CIMA/ CMA/ ICMAP in progress preferred.
  • Experience: 1–3 years; 3–5 years in ops‑finance or warehouse analytics.
  • Technical Skills: Expert Excel, Power Query, basic SQL/DAX/Power BI is a plus.
Soft Skills
  • Strong numerical reasoning, problem‑solving, fluent English (written & spoken), quick learner, data storytelling, process design, continuous‑improvement mindset.
  • Business acumen to link financial signals to operational levers.
  • Clear and concise communication with U.S. warehouse managers and VPs.
  • Ownership mindset, treating each hub P&L as a mini‑business/franchise.
  • Analytical rigor in distilling noisy data into decisive insights.
  • Change agent capable of challenging the status quo and driving adoption of scheduling, dwell, and labor‑control disciplines.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, metrics-driven culture with strict daily deadlines.
