Position Purpose:

The Grants and Project Associate works directly with the CBS Management to maintain and optimize grants-related data processes and procedures. This includes identifying national and international grant opportunities, developing proposals with LUMS faculty, managing communication with funding organizations, liaising with the Office of Research for compliance, and ensuring timely submission of grant applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Research and identify funding opportunities including grants, consultancies, and sponsorships.
  2. Monitor calls for proposals aligned with the Centre's strategic vision and maintain a grant database.
  3. Draft Expression of Interest (EOI) forms for faculty members based on donor/funding body requirements and manage EOIs.
  4. Collaborate with faculty PIs/consultants to design projects, draft proposals, identify partners, develop M&E and budgets, and compile grant applications.
  5. Manage the entire grant cycle from application to award.
  6. Coordinate with the LUMS Office of Research to gather documentation and manage applications on the GAMES portal.
  7. Support the team in conducting Centre programmes and activities, and develop partnerships with internal and external stakeholders for grants and consortium opportunities.
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Project coordination and implementation skills.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills.
  • Effective time management.
  • Basic understanding of grant writing and budgeting.
Education:

Masters degree in Social Science.

Experience:

2-3 years in the development sector.
