Riphah International University is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Professor in Cyber Security to join our esteemed faculty. The ideal candidate will possess a PhD in Cyber Security and have a track record of at least 10 academic publications. With a required experience of 5 years in the field, the candidate should be adept at engaging students, overseeing research projects, and contributing to the growth of the academic program without the requirement to manage a team.The Assistant Professor will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of students and has the opportunity to contribute significantly to research initiatives within the university. This position offers an engaging academic environment where innovative thinking and practical applications in cybersecurity are highly encouraged. Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions on cybersecurity topics, ensuring that course material is up-to-date and relevant.
  • Develop and assess instructional materials, including syllabi, course outlines, and evaluation methods that adhere to the university's academic standards.
  • Guide students in the execution of their research projects, providing mentorship and support to foster their academic growth.
  • Stay current with trends, advancements, and challenges in the cybersecurity landscape to effectively incorporate real-world scenarios into teaching and research.
  • Contribute to scholarly research through the publication of articles in peer-reviewed journals and presenting findings at relevant conferences.
  • Participate in departmental activities, including curriculum development, program assessment, and academic advising for students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and other academic departments to enhance interdisciplinary initiatives within the university.
  • Engage in community outreach and service activities that promote awareness and education in cybersecurity practices beyond the classroom.
  • Maintain a positive learning environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and creativity in solving cybersecurity problems.
