Overview

Electrical Engineer role with responsibilities spanning design, installation, commissioning, and project execution for electrical systems including Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Switchgear & MCCs, AC & DC UPS, Transformer Systems, Power Management Systems, VFDs, and Soft starters.

Responsibilities
  • Review the Project RFQ and ensure that the project scope is executed in line with customer requirements and sale commitments.
  • Lead project design & execution activities and assign tasks to available team members.
  • Perform effort estimation for project engineering, construction and testing works and develop the detailed project budget.
  • Review engineering documentation as per project plan; ensure project execution is completed within budget and allocated hours.
  • Coordinate reviews with Interdisciplinary teams and ensure QA/QC plans are followed internally and by contractors.
  • Provide value addition to meet cost improvement targets and validate supplier technical offers for project specifications.
  • Draft SOWs for contractors and confirm scope of work before contract awards; coordinate with suppliers for engineering and deliverables.
  • Work with the project planning team to develop detailed schedules and progress trackers for engineering, construction, testing and commissioning phases.
  • Coordinate with site execution teams for safe and timely project activities.
  • Support pre-sales with bidding, solution development, bid BOM/MTO, engineering estimation, exclusions, and vendor quotations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in engineering or related field.
  • 3-8 years of engineering design & commissioning experience, including minimum 2 years in a lead role and 2 years on-site installation & commissioning of electrical systems.
  • Self-driven, proactive problem-solver with ability to interact with customers at various levels.
