Responsibilities:

  1. Review structure design drawings and specifications during the design stage of the project through the required safe models & ETAB models to ensure that the design structure is safe in all aspects & incorporated with the Soil reports resulting from the soil investigation tests & consultant recommendations.
  2. Prepare structure design details & specifications during the design stage that will be required for structure design drawings during the Detailed Design & tender packages preparations.
  3. Review Civil / Structure B.O.Q items.
  4. Ensure that all the structure IFC package and site RFI replies are studied properly by the consultant without conflicts and correctly implemented and shared during the construction works supporting the project managers to ensure that the structure package is as per the final Specifications and Construction Drawings.
  5. Manage the structure packages with the Design Consultants to achieve the timelines and ensure that the deliverables for all required drawings and documentation are fulfilled.
  6. Report all highlighted structural issues during the construction stage on any critical matters during the site visits & provide the proposed solutions, support, and recommendations to the S.PM and PM to get the required action of rectifications.
  7. Review the Project's Specifications and design.
  8. Meet with the design Consultant to discuss and finalize technical aspects or any changes in design as per actual site conditions.
  9. Manage Structural design Coordination with the technical office team to ensure that no conflicts occur.
  10. Manage the development of Working drawings and Construction drawings with design consultants.
  11. Problem-solve for any site-related issues with the project team to have a smooth construction workflow.
  12. Coordinate with different disciplines like MEP, Electrical department, etc.
  13. Perform Calculation/Evaluation involved in the Structural Design of different Structures.
  14. Prepare Design Reports, Code Analysis where required.
  15. Work on the employer requirements (technical) & structural design guidelines for the design consultants before any new design works.

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor's in civil engineering.

Skills:

A professionally qualified Civil Structure Engineer having solid experience in the design, construction, and planning of Buildings and infrastructure works. Very good knowledge of international codes like ACI, IBC/UBC, ASCE, AISC etc. Well versed in the use of software like ETABS, SAFE, SAP, STAAD, AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, MS Office etc.

Solid experience of Site execution & Management of different projects. Strong communication and Problem-solving skills. Exposed to local as well as international projects. Registered as a member of Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) & knowledgeable about the international standards of structure design basis & specifications.

Experience: 10 to 15 years of relevant experience.
