General Summary:

As a Qualcomm Software Engineer, you will design, develop, create, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and specialized utility programs that launch cutting-edge, world-class products meeting and exceeding customer needs. Qualcomm Software Engineers collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams to design system-level software solutions and gather information on performance requirements and interfaces.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years of Software Engineering or related experience OR
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 1+ year of experience OR
  • PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

Additionally, candidates should have 2+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

The engineer will contribute to the stability team by debugging Linux Kernel and system-level issues for Qualcomm chipsets.

Position Requirements:
  • Excellent debugging skills, especially in core kernel software stability domain
  • Strong knowledge of ARM architecture
  • Deep understanding of Linux kernel and device driver model
  • Expertise in C programming
  • Prior experience with Android is a plus
  • Knowledge of debug tools such as JTAG
  • Degree in ECE, EE, or CS
  • 1 to 4 years of relevant work experience
