Job Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage end-to-end production operations, ensuring alignment with monthly and quarterly targets
  • Ensure effective floor planning, manpower deployment, and execution across multiple production units
  • Oversee discrete and flexible manufacturing processes to achieve operational excellence
  • Implement cost-reduction strategies and drive continuous improvement for enhanced plant efficiency
  • Ensure high standards of product quality by coordinating with QA/QC teams and embedding quality assurance within production cycles
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety, compliance, and 5S standards across all production areas
  • Drive effective capacity resource planning (CRP) to maximize resource utilization and meet dynamic production demands
  • Collaborate with Planning, SCM, Design, and Technical teams to streamline order-to-delivery timelines
  • Monitor and improve key KPIs such as OTIF (On-Time-In-Full), yield rate, downtime, WIP, and labor productivity
  • Ensure optimal plant maintenance by collaborating with Engineering and Maintenance teams to minimize downtime and enhance equipment reliability
  • Review and optimize material flow and inventory control in coordination with warehouse and procurement functions
  • Lead daily production reviews and ensure timely escalation and resolution of floor-level issues
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for expansion, innovation, and automation within production
  • Coach, mentor, and develop production managers and supervisors to build a high-performance culture
  • Champion skill development programs for workers and supervisory staff to enhance technical and operational capabilities
  • Maintain transparent communication and reporting with senior leadership and contribute to long-term production strategy formulation
Requirements
  • Bachelor's/Master's in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in large-scale manufacturing setups (preferably furniture or woodworking)
  • Strong leadership skills with proven track record in floor management, lean manufacturing, and CRP
  • Proficiency in ERP/SAP and production reporting systems
