Assistant Projects Delivery Manager (APDM)
Location -Khanewal
Role Purpose
As an Assistant Projects Delivery Manager at Lipton, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of brownfield and greenfield projects that enable manufacturing growth, compliance, and cost efficiency. The role includes comprehensive planning, execution, monitoring, and control of engineering and infrastructure projects. The APDM ensures delivery excellence through robust technical evaluations, stakeholder alignment, and adherence to EEM (Early Equipment Management) principles within the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) framework.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution & Leadership
• Lead full-cycle project execution including feasibility assessments, engineering design review, construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Apply EEM methodology across all project stages, ensuring early involvement of operations and maintenance to drive equipment reliability and maintainability.
• Ensure vertical start-up (VSU) readiness by integrating Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and Preventive Maintenance (PM) requirements into design and execution.
• Manage contractor performance, safety compliance, and quality deliverables through daily supervision and weekly performance reviews.
Strategic & Capital Planning
• Define project scopes, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior management, ensuring alignment with the site's master plan and operational strategy.
• Drive CAPEX planning, approval, and execution process, including preparation of CAR (Capital Appropriation Request) documents, ROI analysis, and risk assessments.
• Optimize project spend by applying value engineering principles and lifecycle cost analysis.
Risk, Compliance & Safety
• Lead risk identification, mitigation, and contingency planning throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure all projects comply with internal quality standards, statutory regulations, and EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) protocols.
• Conduct HAZOP, design risk assessments (DRA), and job safety analysis (JSA) for all critical project phases.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
• Liaise with internal stakeholders including Production, Quality, Safety, and Engineering to align project delivery with business needs.
• Communicate project progress through structured governance routines including weekly reviews, milestone tracking, and exception management.
• Support factory leadership with insights and data for investment planning and operational decision-making.
Budget, Resource & Contract Management
• Prepare and manage detailed project budgets, ensuring spend vs forecast alignment and justification of variances.
• Oversee vendor and contractor management including tendering, contract negotiation, invoicing, and closure.
• Ensure efficient utilization of internal and external resources while meeting project delivery timelines.
Continuous Improvement & Standardization
• Establish and deploy project management best practices, SOPs, and learnings to improve repeatability and reduce execution timelines.
• Maintain a repository of lessons learned and apply continuous improvement tools like PDCA, RCA, and FMEA.
• Benchmark with global and regional project teams to adopt innovative practices and technologies.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience: 2–3 years of experience in engineering project execution within a manufacturing or FMCG setup.
• Technical Skills:
- Proficient in MS Project, AutoCAD, and project budgeting tools.
- Working knowledge of TPM methodologies, particularly Early Equipment Management.
- Familiarity with utilities, civil works, packaging and process equipment installation.
• Certifications: PMP, or equivalent certification preferred.
• Key Competencies:
