Position Title: Sales Engineer - Automation and Drives (VFDs)

Job Summary:

The Sales Engineer specializing in Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) plays a vital role in driving revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing sales opportunities within the VFD market segment. This role requires a strong technical background in VFDs coupled with excellent communication and sales skills to effectively engage with clients, understand their needs, and propose appropriate solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales Development: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the assigned market territory. This includes prospecting, cold calling, networking and convert them into sales.
  • Technical Consultation: Provide technical expertise and guidance to customers regarding VFD products, applications, and solutions. Understand customer requirements, analyze their needs, and recommend appropriate VFD products and configurations to meet their specifications.
  • Solution Proposal: Prepare and present compelling sales proposals and product demonstrations tailored to the specific needs of each customer. Collaborate with the technical team to design customized solutions that address customer challenges and deliver value.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with customers to foster loyalty and drive repeat business.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities and potential areas for business expansion.
  • Sales Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and territory plans. Track sales metrics, analyze performance data, and identify areas for improvement to achieve sales targets and objectives.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, and customer support to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of solutions to customers. Provide feedback to internal teams based on customer insights and market feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience (Fresh can also apply) in sales, preferably in the VFD industry or related field.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and their applications.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as needed.
  • Valid Bike/Car license and clean driving record.
