Qualcomm Systems Engineer role involves researching, designing, developing, simulating, and validating systems-level software, hardware, architecture, algorithms, and solutions that enable cutting-edge technology. Systems Engineers collaborate across functional teams to meet and exceed system-level requirements and standards. We are seeking a Senior Manager with demonstrable knowledge and hands-on experience with Camera / Video / Computer Vision software and firmware development.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Camera Firmware team that creates embedded imaging solutions for Snapdragon chipsets powering advanced mobile devices. Solutions leverage dedicated hardware, multi-core processors, DSP, and GPU cores to provide high-quality photographs, video recordings, and scene data for image understanding and object detection.
  • Lead firmware development to control Camera – ISP HW accelerators including post-processing modules on Snapdragon chipsets.
  • Learn new hardware module interfaces quickly and create firmware/software interface layers for these modules.
  • Demonstrate quick learning, adaptability to new technologies, and strong debugging skills.
  • Collaborate with geographically distributed teams and customers.
  • Lead design of firmware, planning, execution, tracking, commercialization, and support.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BE/BTech (EE, EC, CS) / ME/MTech or equivalent degree.
  • 14+ years of experience in multimedia technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of image processing.
  • Working experience on embedded systems is preferable.
  • Strong C/C++, assembly language programming and debugging.
  • Knowledge or experience with embedded systems / Android & Linux.
  • Proficiency with version control tools & code maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
  • Leadership experience / experience in managing a team of 10+ members.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience; OR
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience; OR
  • PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
