Summary

The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring food safety compliance with national standards and customer specifications. They oversee hygiene and food safety standards within dnata's inflight kitchen and operated lounges.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Conduct daily shop floor inspections of Catering Services and document checks to ensure staff adherence to quality and food safety standards, taking corrective actions when non-conformances are observed, and reporting findings in the daily food safety and hygiene report to the respective Heads of Department.
  2. Perform flight inspections of meals in production and ready for uplift to verify compliance with food safety regulations and customer specifications.
  3. Monitor personal hygiene practices of all shop floor personnel and maintain cleanliness of facilities and equipment.
  4. Provide QA tracking, trending, and administrative reports.
  5. Ensure raw materials supplied meet company and customer specifications and requirements.
  6. Establish, implement, maintain, and update pre-requisite programs, operational pre-requisite programs, and HACCP plans.
  7. Support external audits by authorities, certifying bodies, and customers.
  8. Undertake additional duties as assigned by immediate superiors.
  9. Prepare culture media as specified by the Senior Supervisor (Food Lab).
  10. Carry out sterilization of culture media and apparatus.
  11. Maintain cleanliness of all laboratory apparatus.
  12. Collect samples and conduct microbial analyses as specified, ensuring results are within targeted plans.
  13. Follow up on microbiological tests that do not meet criteria.
  14. Record all testing results accurately.
  15. Ensure compliance with workplace safety, security, and health policies and procedures.
  16. Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned by the manager or department head.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Food Science or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience managing quality and food safety standards.
  • Qualifications in ISO 22000 & ISO 9001 audits.
  • Experience managing food safety audits by customers, certification bodies, and government authorities.
  • Strict adherence to food hygiene and safety procedures.
  • Proficiency in SAP system.
