Responsibilities:
- Managing and maintaining Oracle Weblogic Server environments, including installing and configuring servers, deploying applications, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting issues.
- Configure node manager to administer managed servers and establish SSL communication between admin server and node manager.
- Configure node manager, associating managed servers to a machine to control/monitor managed servers on various physical boxes.
- Experience in configuring and administration of clustering, connection pools for JDBC, JMS connections and security.
- Set up WebLogic domain with a single server instance for developers on Windows environments.
- Configure JDBC connection pools, data sources for the applications and create scripts to automate password changes.
- Manage distributed sessions using HTTP sessions for the failover facility, session persistence, and cache replication using memory-to-memory replication.
- Key role in managing content and organizational structure for several external websites and internal Intranet website, distribution of electronic communications.
- Involve in performance tuning of WebLogic server by fine-tuning various parameters like JDBC connection pools, JMS parameters, and JVM.
- Invoke WLST scripting and create JDBC connection pools and enroll the node manager using WLST command line.
- Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, excessive garbage collection, threading issues, and other Java coding problems.
- Configure JVM arguments, JMS/JDBC adapters, MQ, RAC data sources, user authentication and troubleshoot issues with process deployments.
- Configure WebLogic LDAP for user authentication for applications as well as WebLogic administration.
- Design HTML and JSP for front-end templates.
- Work on JDK versions and JRockit upgrades on all environments.
- Deploy web applications, EJB components, and enterprise applications.
- Experience in deploying web applications and EJB applications on WebLogic servers.
- Contribute to testing efforts with the client on WebLogic and JBOSS issues.
- Provide users with read/write authorization privileges on Windows servers.
- Implement LDAP authentication in a web-based utility application to validate LAN credentials.
- Add PHP scripts to the website as a way for customers to contact for information.
- Work closely with Principle on PMR's for solutions and implement them, create many critical situation tickets for related bugs.
- Implement SSL certificates for secure communication between the administrative server and clients.
- Reformat documents to comply with ISO standards, international code standards, and internal company standards.
- Monitor internal and external jobs to maintain critical deadlines and comply with regulations.
- Install and configure Jenkins to deploy applications.
Skills:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in managing and maintaining Oracle WebLogic Server environments.
- Experience in installing, configuring, and deploying applications on WebLogic servers.
- Proven experience in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and resolving issues related to WebLogic, JVM, JDBC, JMS, and clustering.
- Experience with WLST scripting for automation and server management.
- Familiarity with JBOSS and other middleware technologies is a plus.
- Experience in web development (HTML, JSP, PHP) and deploying web/EJB applications.
- Knowledge of LDAP authentication and SSL certificate implementation.
- Experience with Jenkins for application deployment and CI/CD processes.
- Exposure to system administration tasks (e.g., user authorization, server monitoring, and job scheduling).
Technical Skills:
WebLogic Administration:
- Configuring and managing WebLogic domains, node managers, and clusters.
- Setting up JDBC connection pools, data sources, and JMS adapters.
- Memory management, session replication, and failover configuration.
- Performance tuning (JVM, garbage collection, threading issues).
Scripting and Automation:
- Proficiency in WLST (WebLogic Scripting Tool) for automation.
- Scripting for password changes, server configurations, and deployments.
Web Development:
- Basic knowledge of HTML, JSP, and PHP for front-end development.
- Experience in deploying web applications and EJB components.
System Administration:
- Managing user permissions on Windows servers.
- Monitoring and maintaining internal/external jobs and deadlines.
Security:
- Configuring SSL for secure communication.
DevOps Tools:
- Experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with version control systems and deployment automation.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for resolving performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and deployment issues.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams (developers, system admins, and clients).
- Attention to detail in configuring and maintaining complex middleware environments.
- Communication skills to interact with stakeholders and provide technical support.
- Adaptability to work with multiple technologies (WebLogic, JBOSS, Jenkins, etc.).
- Time management to meet critical deadlines and comply with regulations.
