Overview of the role:

The Java Technical Support Engineer position focuses on maintaining and troubleshooting Java-based applications as part of the Incident Response Team. This role combines technical support with Java development skills to monitor systems, resolve issues, and contribute to process improvements.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Providing technical support coverage during business hours, with occasional weekend rotations.
  2. Monitoring system performance and responding to alerts.
  3. Troubleshooting and resolving issues in Java applications.
  4. Documenting incidents and solutions for knowledge sharing.
  5. Collaborating with development teams on improvements.
  6. Participating in process enhancement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Java Knowledge: Experience with Java development and troubleshooting.
  • Support Background: Familiarity with support roles and incident response.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
