The Finance and Accounting Manager will be based in Karachi, Pakistan and will report to the Global Delivery Manager. The Finance and Accounting Manager will have four main areas of responsibility:

  • Monthly financial reporting and analysis
  • Treasury and cash management
  • Timely and quality delivery of services
  • Execute process improvements

The candidate should be self-motivated and will be required to independently take action to achieve the organization's goals. The position will give a successful candidate the opportunity to distinguish themselves and create real value by putting in place accounting and finance processes and procedures and applying insightful financial analysis that facilitate sound data-driven business decisions.

  • Responsible for operational support and manage transactional activities, focusing on General Ledger Accounting, Management & Financial Reporting, AP/AR Processes, Cash Flow Management and Reconciliation Function.
  • Work closely with Arthur Lawrence US finance, onshore / offshore outsourcing team to perform daily and month-end operational accounting processes.
    • Assist the Assistant Manager in monitoring and managing outsourcing clients/vendor and reviewing monthly Service Level Agreement (SLA) to ensure achievement of key SLA metrics.
    • Responsible for monthly reconciliation and ensuring compliance to US GAAP and GFS.
    • Key contact for client, internal customer and vendor for invoice processing / payment related queries.
    • Oversees the daily accounting activities required to maintain the Company's general ledger.
    • Supervises, directs, and reviews the work of accounting team during month-end close process.
    • Reconciles and posts journal entries to complex GL accounts (including corporate accruals).
    • Ensures organized maintenance of accounting records and supporting documentation for SOX requirements.
    • Assists in coordination of monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
    • Makes and implements recommendations to improve accounting processes and procedures.
    • Performs other ad hoc projects and requests as required.
    Job Specification

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Accountancy / Finance related, ACCA, CA Finalist or related qualification.
  • Min 2 to 5 years' experience in operational accounting.
  • Understanding of business processes and financial processes.
  • Meticulous and possesses strong problem-solving skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication skills (written and spoken).
  • Able to work in high volume and fast-paced environment.
Work Hours: US Central Time zone (PKT 06-30 PM to 03-30 AM): Monday to Friday. Holidays are per US federal holidays.
