Currently, the company operates 10 wholesale centers across Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Islamabad, and Faisalabad.

METRO Pakistan (Pvt) Limited is part of METRO GROUP's sales division, METRO Cash & Carry, a global leader in self-service wholesale. The company operates over 750 stores in 25 countries across Europe, Asia, and Africa, with a workforce of more than 107,000 employees. In the fiscal year 2016/17, sales were approximately 37 billion Euro.

Job Description
  • Manage and harmonize QA activities at the store(s) in charge.
  • Ensure the completeness and effectiveness of QA activities, including monitoring product quality, compliance with regulations and internal procedures, and addressing product quality and hygiene issues. Maintain communication with relevant local authorities.
    • Conduct audits within the store and designated areas.
    • Perform supplier visits for audits and improvement initiatives.
    • Manage withdrawal and recall activities in case of serious food safety, legality, or quality incidents.
    • Follow up on quality monitoring programs, including sampling, sensory analysis, and microbiological testing, to ensure product consistency.
    • Implement other programs such as equipment calibration, water testing, hygiene training, and health examinations as per regulations.
    • Perform random checks of incoming, stored, or displayed products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
    • Engage with local authorities to obtain necessary information, support, or documentation and follow up on tasks.
    • Participate in internal quality inspections, especially when there are customer complaints or anomalies, to identify strengths and weaknesses and suggest improvements.
    • Commit to self-development through training and knowledge enhancement.
    • Possess excellent subject knowledge and the ability to communicate and transfer this knowledge effectively to others.
    Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Technology.
