Strategic Buyer Role

Job Description:

This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the purchasing function within the organization. As a Strategic Buyer, you will be accountable for developing and implementing effective sourcing strategies that align with business objectives.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
  2. Conduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers and negotiate favorable terms.
  3. Manage procurement processes from requisition to order receipt, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  4. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify business needs and develop strategic plans to meet those needs.
  5. Analyze data to assess purchasing requirements and identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in purchasing or supply chain management.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • ERP system experience is an added advantage.
