Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Data Systems Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing data-related solutions that include provisioning of data storage services, ingesting and processing large datasets, transforming data, implementing security requirements, managing data retention policies, identifying performance bottlenecks, and accessing external data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing analysis of large data stores to derive insights using advanced data querying techniques
  • Designing and developing code, scripts, and data pipelines that leverage structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources
  • Managing data ingestion pipelines and stream processing systems
  • Performing computations using cloud-based functions
  • Documenting, designing, and developing scalable data applications
  • Completing day-to-day tasks with accuracy and minimal supervision while meeting deadlines

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • At least 2-5 years of relevant working experience with Cloud Computing platforms
  • Hands-on experience with Azure/AWS architectures and development tools
  • Experience working with Apache Spark, Apache Hive, Apache HBase, and other big data technologies
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Cloud architecture design and deployment
    • Programming languages such as Java, Python, and SQL
    • Data engineering and science tools like ETL, Pandas, NumPy, and TensorFlow

Preferred Requirements:

  • Implementation of lambda architecture with stream processing and batch processing
  • Implementation of security standards and practices in cloud solution architecture
  • Training or certification on Data Lake HDFS and Azure Data Lake Gen 2
  • Experience with Azure Data Explorer and Kusto query language is a plus
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory is a plus
