Technology Risk and Governance Specialist

The role of a Technology Risk and Governance Specialist involves leading efforts in defining and documenting a comprehensive Issue Management Process document/methodology, centralizing control gaps/issues in a GRC tool, logging, tracking, monitoring, and remediation of control gaps/issues, and coordinating with key stakeholders to ensure issues are clearly articulated, mapped to appropriate risk categories, mitigating controls are identified through proper risk assessments.

  • This specialist will lead periodic reporting of issues to senior management, conduct data analysis to demonstrate trends of progress made in issue remediation by various technology processes, conduct meetings to discuss issues and risk remediation plans, lead efforts in risk exception and risk acceptance processes, monitor risk acceptance scenarios, and bring them to appropriate committees for reporting.
  • This specialist will prepare PowerPoint presentations to provide comprehensive and holistic issue management processes.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, business, or information technology.
  • At least 5 years of experience in technology risk management and internal controls implementation, including both building and operating a function.
  • A proven ability to convey complex risk topics to varied audiences, including executive leadership and technical teams.
  • A successful track record in a global environment, with strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, with experience in high-pressure environments.
