Procurement Director

Smart Care Pharma is a modern retail store that caters to the health care needs of its customers by providing quality medicine, healthcare products, and selected groceries. The company aims to expand its chain in the country.

The Retail Purchase Manager would be responsible for procuring various products, including health care items, cosmetics, and groceries, for the entire store. This individual will oversee the purchasing process, ensuring timely delivery of goods while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent interpersonal skills, negotiation expertise, and proficiency in software/ERP systems. Additionally, they should have 3-5 years of experience in purchasing and warehousing on modern lines. A bachelor's degree is required, and an MBA, Master in Economics, or Master in Supply Chain Management is preferred.

This role requires the ability to direct, supervise, and facilitate complex interactions between buyers, suppliers, warehouse personnel, and other stakeholders involved in the purchasing process. The successful candidate must also have good knowledge of procurement software, email, enterprise resource planning, project management, spreadsheet, word processing, and procurement software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Purchasing and sourcing high-quality products from reliable suppliers.
• Negotiating prices and terms with suppliers to ensure best value for the company.
• Managing inventory levels to minimize stockouts and overstocking.
• Maintaining accurate records of purchases, receipts, and shipments.
• Collaborating with warehouse personnel to ensure efficient storage and handling of goods.
• Developing and implementing effective supply chain strategies to meet business objectives.
