Junior Accountant Job Description: A dynamic organization is seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to support its finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with various financial tasks, including record-keeping, data entry, and reconciliation. Key responsibilities include:
  • Recording and maintaining accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other relevant documents.
  • Assisting with regular reconciliations and statements, such as bank and vendor reconciliations.
  • Supporting the preparation of financial reports and statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Verifying invoices and authorizing payments, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments and receipts.
  • Maintaining proper records for all income tax collected and withheld, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Preparing quarterly tax statements and submitting them on time.
  • Maintaining fixed asset and store registers, including timely recording of consumption, returns, replacements, and valuation of closing stocks.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by management, including bookkeeping, reporting, and administrative tasks.
