Job Overview

As a Geologist at Onesubsea, you will play a key role in shaping our exploration and development strategies by providing expert geological interpretations and insights.

Our team is passionate about advancing our understanding of the subsurface and optimizing reservoir management. We are seeking an experienced Geologist to join our team and contribute to our mission.

Responsibilities:
  1. Geological Analysis:
    1. Apply your expertise in sequence stratigraphy and reservoir characterization to interpret well logs, core samples, and seismic data.
    2. Use integrated geological and geophysical data to identify and evaluate hydrocarbon potential.
    3. Collaborate with reservoir engineers to optimize field development strategies.
  2. Exploration and Development:
    1. Assess exploration prospects and develop risk assessments and volumetric estimates.
    2. Recommend drillable locations by integrating subsurface data with operational considerations.
    3. Support production forecasting by updating geological models with new data.
  3. Technical Expertise:
    1. Utilize software such as Petrel for geological modeling and data visualization.
    2. Integrate seismic reflectors, parasequences, and other data to enhance 3D reservoir models.
  4. Communication and Collaboration:
    1. Communicate complex geological concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    2. Collaborate with geophysicists, petrophysicists, and reservoir engineers to achieve project goals.
