Senior WordPress Developer Job Description

This is a senior-level position for a talented WordPress developer who can design and implement new features and functionality for our website.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of PHP back-end development, including experience with debugging tools like Firebug and Chrome inspector.

Responsibilities will include establishing and guiding the website's architecture, ensuring high performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS.

Additionally, this person will collaborate with cross-functional teams to formulate an effective, responsive design and turn it into a working theme and plugin.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications.
  • Experience designing and developing responsive websites.
  • Proficiency in code versioning tools such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial.
  • Ability to convert comprehensive layouts and wireframes into working HTML pages.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML).
