Search Engine Optimization Strategist

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and experienced search engine optimization (SEO) professional with a proven track record of success in driving organic traffic and improving website rankings.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Conduct regular website audits to identify areas for improvement and optimize site structure, metadata, and internal linking.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest algorithm updates, competitor activity, and market trends to inform SEO decisions.
Technical SEO:
  • Ensure the website meets best practices for architecture, Core Web Vitals, crawlability, and more.
  • Collaborate with developers to implement structured data, sitemaps, hreflang tags, and other technical optimizations.
  • Optimize page speed, mobile UX, and indexation issues to improve user experience and search engine crawling.
On-Page & Content Optimization:
  • Lead keyword research, topic clustering, and content gap analysis to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with content teams to optimize relevance, UX, and internal linking to enhance content effectiveness.
Off-Page SEO & Link Building:
  • Design and execute white-hat link-building strategies to increase authoritative backlinks.
  • Monitor backlink health, manage disavow files, and oversee outreach efforts to maintain a strong online reputation.
Analytics, Reporting & CRO:
  • Utilize tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog to track performance and inform data-driven decisions.
  • Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including traffic, keyword ranking, click-through rate (CTR), and conversions.
  • Run A/B tests to identify opportunities for improving organic conversions.
Bonus: SEO-PPC Synergy:
  • Collaborate with paid search teams to ensure alignment across organic and paid efforts and maximize ROI.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in SEO, preferably in eCommerce or retail.
  • Deep understanding of technical SEO principles and hands-on experience with site optimization.
  • Strong grasp of Core Web Vitals, Google's algorithm updates, and E-E-A-T guidelines.
  • Proficiency in tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, GA, and GSC.
  • Experience collaborating with developers, content creators, and marketers to drive cross-functional success.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
  • Bonus: Understanding of how SEO integrates with Google Ads/PPC.
