We are seeking a highly skilled iOS developer to lead our mobile application development team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in developing high-quality iOS applications, with expertise in either Objective C or Swift.

The successful applicant will be responsible for taking product manager requirements, sizing effort and considering technical architecture impacts. As the primary developer for our iOS codebase, they will also be responsible for code reviewing junior iOS developers' work.

Key responsibilities include building unit tests for their work and deploying their code safely into a production environment. They will also be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the field.

In order to succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of Core iOS libraries, including Animation, Data, etc. They will also have experience with integrating third-party APIs, including Twilio, Twitter, Facebook, Realm, etc.

A strong understanding of REST APIs and XML is also required, as well as good problem-solving capabilities and excellent communication skills. Additionally, the successful applicant will be able to learn and understand new frameworks and platforms quickly.

Requirements:

  • Proficient with either Objective C or Swift
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Core iOS libraries (including Animation, Data, etc)
  • Experience with integrating to 3rd party APIs
  • Experienced in following platforms: GitHub, Cocoa Pods
  • Keen learner; ability to learn and understand new frameworks and platforms
  • Strong academic performance history
  • Good understanding of REST APIs and XML
  • Interest in or experience in Design and Consumer UX
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities
  • Good communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in working with version control systems like Git
  • Familiarity with cloud-based services like AWS or Google Cloud
  • Knowledge of security best practices for mobile app development
