About the Role

This key position involves joining the asset monitoring team that drives product innovation by designing components and services for new feature developments. The successful candidate will implement scalable architecture and collaborate with an enthusiastic team contributing to robust projects that track assets from trailers to individual tools at a job site, providing real-time insights to streamline operations and increase customer profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and document solutions.
  • Write secure code that powers the platform providing real-time visibility into company assets.
  • Build and make design choices for API interfaces working across applications and services.
  • Work on AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Mentor developers within the engineering organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • Affinity for creating extensible software.
  • Experience building distributed systems and data models.
  • Proficiency in Ruby, Go Lang, Java, or similar languages.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, and Cassandra.
  • Experience building for Cloud Infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or private clouds.
  • Leadership experience conducting code reviews and unblocking engineers.
