About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Officer to join our team in Day Oncology. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, working closely with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assessment and Treatment: Assess patients before and during chemotherapy administration, ensuring accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning.
  • Medication Management: Enter chemotherapeutics according to consultants' advice, presume post-chemotherapy medications as required, and maintain accurate medication records.
  • Diagnostic and Therapeutic Procedures: Perform outpatient diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under supervision, including lumbar-puncture, intrathecal chemotherapy, paracentesis, bone marrow aspiration, and trephine biopsy.
  • Clinical Practice and Education: Participate in outpatient clinics, patient management, and journal clubs, staying up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge and best practices.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Medical Degree and Licensure: Hold an MBBS degree and possess a valid license from the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).
  • Experience and Skills: Have at least two to three years of relevant experience, demonstrate ability to work independently and as part of a team, and exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Additional Certifications: Possess a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate and stay updated on the latest medical guidelines and protocols.
