We are seeking a skilled Video Editor and Animator to assemble recorded footage into a polished project that meets the director's vision and is suitable for broadcast.

Responsibilities
  • We require someone who can manipulate and edit film pieces in a seamless manner, invisible to the audience.
  • The ideal candidate will take a brief to grasp production team's needs and specifications.
  • They will review shooting scripts and raw materials to create a shot decision list based on scenes' value and contribution to continuity.
  • Our ideal candidate will trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film.
  • They will input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects.
  • Ultimately, they will create rough and final cuts, ensuring logical sequencing and smooth running.
  • The successful candidate will consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process.
  • Additionally, they will continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry best practices to maximize efficiency.
Requirements
  • Proven work experience as a Video Editor and Animator is essential.
  • A solid understanding of digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, AfterEffects, and Final Cut) is necessary.
  • Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio is a must.
  • Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity is required.
  • Familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing is an asset.
  • Creative mind and storytelling skills are crucial.
  • A degree in film studies, cinematography, or a related field is preferred.
