Ultrasound Assistant

The primary role of an Ultrasound Assistant is to provide support to radiologists and other medical professionals in the performance of ultrasound procedures.

• Assist with preparing patients for ultrasound exams, ensuring they are comfortable and secure throughout the procedure.
• Help radiologists with positioning patients correctly and maintaining patient safety during scans.
• Monitor equipment and report any technical issues or malfunctions to the radiologist or supervisor.
• Label and organize ultrasound images and reports according to hospital protocols.

1. Accurately label and track ultrasound images and reports.
2. Perform routine quality control checks on ultrasound equipment.
3. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams about test results and next steps.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or certification in a related field preferred.
• Minimum one year of experience working in a clinical setting; preferably in ultrasound imaging or a related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
