Electrical Component Procurement Specialist

Job Overview:

The Electrical Component Procurement Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the electrical engineering team's requirements are met through efficient and compliant sourcing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in identifying, evaluating, and recommending materials, components, and vendors for project needs.
  • Collaborate with procurement to maintain accurate Procore cost catalogs and assemblies.
  • Optimize and standardize electrical component selection to balance cost, performance, and availability.
  • Review Esticom take-offs and generate comprehensive BOMs and BOQs for projects.
  • Identify and evaluate suppliers based on technical compliance, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Explore and implement AI-powered tools for process improvement, automation, and standardization.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Supply Chain Management from an accredited university.
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical design, procurement, supply chain, or vendor evaluation within the electrical industry.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and related Autodesk software, as well as ERP systems (SAP, Procore, Oracle, etc.).
  • Knowledge of AI-driven procurement technologies or experience working with data-driven decision-making tools.
