Software Development Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer with experience in ReactJS or NodeJS to join our team. As a skilled software developer, you will have the opportunity to build advanced internet applications, design great APIs, and mentor junior developers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Product Design and Development: Perform moderately complex product design, systems analysis, and programming activities requiring research.
  • Engineering Best Practices: Cultivate engineering best practices within the web group and contribute to company-wide standards.
  • Feature Analysis and Implementation: Collaborate with technical leaders to analyze complex feature requests and suggest implementation strategies.
  • Estimation and Quoting: Estimate the time required to complete work and provide quotes.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct unit testing (including mocking as needed) and integration testing on software.
  • Mentorship and Training: Mentor junior engineers and define engineering standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Computer Sciences.
  • Experience: 1+ years of experience in ReactJS/NodeJS with strong emphasis on best practices.
  • Agile Development: Experience with Agile development process and engineering best practices like continuous integration and unit testing.
  • Performance and Security: Understanding of performance and security issues, and their solutions when designing web-based applications.
  • Techincal Judgment: Excellent technical judgment to know when to use an off-the-shelf solution, and when to make a custom one.
  • Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Time Management: High energy level with strong motivation to meet delivery deadlines.
