DevOps Specialist

The role of DevOps Specialist involves ensuring the smooth and reliable delivery of software products by managing CI/CD pipelines, release processes, and versioning.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment.
  • Manage Git versioning and release processes to ensure consistency and traceability.
  • Set up, maintain, and optimize monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure high performance and reliability in line with site reliability SLAs.
  • Handle incident response processes and maintain logging and alerting solutions.
  • Write and maintain scripts and automation using programming languages like Bash, PowerShell, and Python.
  • Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Docker and ContainerD/Podman.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, and OpenShift.
  • Maintain and support high availability systems, ensuring backup strategies and disaster recovery plans.
  • Provision, configure, and maintain resources on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Work closely with developers, QA teams, and operations to refine deployment workflows, promote DevOps culture, and document infrastructure and processes.
  • Design, develop, and deploy serverless applications using AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, or Google Cloud Functions.
  • Configure and manage API Gateways using tools like AWS API Gateway, Azure API Management, Kong, or Apigee.
  • Create infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
