We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in performing expert work in the installation, operation, maintenance, modification, service, and repair of facilities' HVAC systems.

This is a dynamic position that requires a strong background in mechanical maintenance, with a focus on troubleshooting complex issues and ensuring seamless system performance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with commercial or industrial HVAC/mechanical refrigeration systems, including operation, maintenance, and repair of 100-ton chillers or larger, and large air-handling units.

The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret energy management system alarms and temperature and pressure differentials. They will also be proficient in using precision measuring and testing devices, as well as hand tools.

In addition to their technical expertise, the selected individual will demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels. They will also be able to manage critical, time-sensitive projects, requiring extensive coordination across program and organizational lines.

A minimum of five years of journey-level experience in the installation, operations, repair, and maintenance of commercial or industrial HVAC/mechanical refrigeration systems is required. A valid driver's license for vehicle operation and good working knowledge to identify and mitigate safety hazards are also necessary. Experience working overseas and familiarity with U.S. OSHA and local safety standards are preferred.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Monitor HVAC system performance by interpreting energy management system alarms and temperature and pressure differentials, troubleshoot problems, and adjust when necessary.
  • Perform preventive maintenance work based on equipment manufacturers' recommended procedures and the facilities computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Maintain accurate records of buildings systems and equipment and ensure there are ample spare parts and materials in stock to keep systems operational.
  • Perform skilled mechanical maintenance by inspecting and testing elements of facilities systems to locate and diagnose faults and malfunctions.
  • Assure the proper operation of a wide variety of mechanical systems and devices including pumps, motors, and compressors.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to keep facilities systems to prescribed operating standards and/or performance rates.
  • Troubleshoot problems, and adjust and/or perform required repairs using hand tools and precision measuring and testing devices.
  • Provide detailed estimates of repair (and/or replacement) costs beyond the capability to perform.
  • Repair existing facilities systems according to work orders or verbal instructions by inspecting the work site to determine the materials, equipment, tool requirements, and method to be used, develop a plan, or lay out for the project or following a blueprint, sketch, or schematic, and assemble, fabricate, or build and install materials, equipment, or fixtures as required.
