Database Development Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled database developer to join our team.

As a senior database developer, you will design, implement, and optimize database solutions that support our software products.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Database Design & Development
    • Build and optimize SQL Server databases with a focus on creating scalable data models and robust database architecture.
    • Create efficient and effective data structures to meet business requirements.
  • Stored Procedures & Functions
    • Write and enhance complex stored procedures, views, and functions to support application functionality and performance.
    • Implement query optimization techniques to improve database performance.
  • Performance Optimization
    • Monitor and troubleshoot databases to maintain high performance and data concurrency.
    • Implement indexing and partitioning strategies to improve database efficiency.
  • Data Integration
    • Implement ETL processes and support business intelligence initiatives through tools such as SSIS and SSAS.
    • Develop data integration workflows using APIs and web services.
  • Data Backup & Recovery
    • Manage database backup/restore strategies, including replication, mirroring, and log shipping.
    • Develop disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
  • NoSQL & Modern Databases
    • Utilize MongoDB, Cassandra, and other NoSQL databases to meet specific project requirements.
    • Design and implement distributed database architectures.
  • Version Control & Deployment
    • Collaborate on version control, deploying changes seamlessly across QA and production environments.
    • Implement continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Technical Expertise
    • Advanced skills in SQL Server 2012+ and experience in complex data modeling, development, and performance tuning.
    • Familiarity with data warehousing and business intelligence concepts.
  • Preferred Knowledge
    • Familiarity with Big Data, Python, BI, and other evolving technologies is a plus.
    • Experience with cloud-based databases and data platforms.
  • Certification
    • SQL Server certification or other relevant credentials is a bonus.
  • Analytical Thinking
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex challenges and deliver effective solutions.
  • Communication Skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, fostering clear collaboration within and outside the development team.
