Job Description:

The WGSS Facilitator plays a crucial role in planning and implementing activities within a Women and Girls Safe Space (WGSS) in a community. This position requires strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with diverse groups of women and girls, as well as local partners and stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Program Planning: Plan and coordinate WGSS activities, workshops, and events to promote women and girls' empowerment. Work closely with the WGSS Supervisor and management team to develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Capacity Building and Implementation: Develop and deliver training programs and capacity-building initiatives for WGSS staff, volunteers, and community members. Collaborate with local partners to promote solidarity and inclusion among members.
  • Human Resources: Recruit, train, and supervise WGSS staff and volunteers. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by promoting teamwork, self-care, and professional development opportunities.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Collect and analyze data on WGSS participation, tracking trends and areas for improvement. Prepare and submit reports on program activities, outcomes, and challenges.
  • Coordination, Advocacy and Representation: Coordinate with local partners, community leaders, and women's networks to promote the WGSS and its activities. Represent the WGSS at community events, meetings, and forums.
