The position of Research Associate in the Department of Bioinformatics and Biotechnology is available under the HEC NRPU Research project. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the research activities of the project, titled 'Metabolic Engineering of Saccharomyces Cerevisiae to produce fourth generation Biofuels'. This role offers a unique opportunity for an Enrolled Ph.D. Student within GCUF in the Discipline of Biotechnology to gain hands-on experience in research and development.
As a Research Associate, you will work closely with the Principal Investigator to design and execute experiments, collect and analyze data, and contribute to the writing of research papers. A relevant experience will be highly preferred for this role. If selected, you will have the opportunity to work on a project that aims to develop sustainable biofuels from Saccharomyces Cerevisiae.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Designing and executing experiments related to metabolic engineering of Saccharomyces Cerevisiae.
- Collecting and analyzing data to support the research objectives.
- Contributing to the writing of research papers and reports.
The contract duration for this position is 01-Year (extendable up to 02 more years). The monthly stipend for this role is Rs. 25,000/- per month.
