Chair, Obstetrics and Gynaecology Leadership Position

Seeking a visionary leader to spearhead the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, driving excellence in patient care, research, and education. The ideal candidate will champion all departmental missions, empowering faculty, staff, and learners to drive progress and maintain national prominence.
The Chair is responsible for providing strategic direction, overseeing departmental planning, and ensuring high-quality clinical, educational, and research programs align with the University's vision. This includes developing and applying quality management methods, supporting the development of new academic services, and establishing effective risk management principles.
Clinical Service responsibilities include ensuring the development and application of quality management methods within the department, supporting the CEO and SLT to ensure annual business plans and budgets are developed according to Service Line objectives, and fostering good relations with the community of physicians and other organizations.
The Chair will lead the development and enhancement of departmental activities, serve as a role model by demonstrating institutional citizenship, and develop long-range strategic plans that support the mission of the faculty and the University. They will also represent departmental interests and build strong partnerships and collaborations at all levels.
Ambitious candidates with a proven track record of leadership and extensive academic experience in a teaching hospital are encouraged to apply. National/international recognition as an academic authority in Obstetrics and Gynaecology is highly desirable, along with expertise in teaching medical students and residents in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
