About the Role

A senior web applications developer is required to design, develop and maintain high-quality Joomla-based web solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Web Application Development: Design and develop custom Joomla-based web applications with a focus on user experience and performance.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize and execute tasks efficiently.
  • Component Development: Develop and maintain reusable components, modules, plugins and templates for Joomla.
  • Client Satisfaction: Collaborate with designers to ensure that web applications meet client requirements and exceed expectations.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with existing Joomla-based applications.
  • Testing and Deployment: Test, debug and deploy web applications with minimal downtime.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in Joomla development and apply them to improve web applications.
Requirements:
  • Joomla Experience: Proven experience with Joomla development, including custom development of components, modules, plugins and templates.
  • MVC Architecture: In-depth knowledge of MVC architecture and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
  • Version Control: Experience with Git or other version control systems for efficient collaboration and code management.
  • Deployment and Administration: Experience with web application deployment and server administration for optimal performance.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CMS Platforms: Experience with other CMS platforms such as Drupal or WordPress for flexibility and adaptability.
  • E-commerce Platforms: Experience with e-commerce platforms such as Magento or Shopify for online sales and transactions.
  • Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies for iterative and incremental software development.
