Full-Stack Software Engineer

We're seeking a seasoned developer to join our team as a remote independent contractor. You'll collaborate closely with our team to build intuitive, data-driven applications that balance robust front-end experiences with efficient back-end systems.

Our ideal candidate will thrive across the tech stack—React/TypeScript on the front, Laravel/PHP on the back—while contributing to team discussions, planning, and shared goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Server-side Logic: Design, develop, and maintain server-side logic and APIs using PHP (Laravel)
  • Front-end Features: Build and maintain front-end features using React.js, TypeScript, Redux, Tailwind CSS
  • Databases: Develop and manage databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL), application logic, and integration layers
  • API Integration: Integrate with APIs (REST and GraphQL), documenting them using OpenAPI/Swagger
  • Security and Performance: Implement security, performance optimization, caching (Redis/Memcached), and data protection best practices
  • Coding Standards: Write clean, maintainable code and unit/feature tests (PHPUnit, Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress/Playwright)
  • Team Collaboration: Contribute to planning sessions, code reviews, and shared team objectives
  • Version Control: Use Git for version control and effective collaboration
Ideal Profile / Requirements
  • Experience: 7+ years of professional full-stack development experience
  • Laravel Experience: Strong experience with PHP (Laravel framework, Eloquent ORM, Artisan CLI, Queues, Events, Middleware)
  • React and TypeScript Expertise: Expert in React.js (hooks, context, portals) + TypeScript
  • JavaScript Knowledge: Solid understanding of JavaScript (ES6+) and state management (Redux/React Query)
  • Database Skills: Proficiency with MySQL/PostgreSQL database design, indexing, and query optimization
  • Testing Experience: Strong testing experience on both back end (PHPUnit) and front-end (Jest, RTL, Cypress/Playwright)
  • Build Tools Familiarity: Familiarity with build tools like Vite, Webpack, Yarn
  • Performance Optimization: Knowledge of performance optimization: lazy loading, code splitting, caching, memoization
  • Docker and Linux: Basic understanding of Docker and Linux CLI for development/deployment
  • UI/UX Knowledge: Experience with UI/UX best practices and component-based design (Storybook a plus)
  • Communication Skills: Strong English communication skills – written and verbal
