Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Instrument Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and electronics engineering, with expertise in designing and reviewing instruments.

Responsibilities
  • Review P&IDs against control and safety requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Prepare detailed Instrument Indexes in accordance with P&IDs, including all necessary specifications and details.
  • Collaborate with designers to create cable block diagrams, cable routing plans, equipment layouts, termination drawings, and other relevant documents.
  • Develop I/O lists based on Instrument Indexes, taking into account process and control system design requirements.
  • Prepare and review detailed Instrument Data Sheets, including technical specifications and performance data.
  • Create and review instrument wiring diagrams, ensuring accurate representation of electrical connections.
  • Review loop drawings to ensure they meet industry standards and client requirements.
  • Review and approve Installation, Operation, and Maintenance (IOM) manuals for instruments, ensuring they are comprehensive and easy to follow.
  • Prepare and review Junction Box Schedules, detailing all necessary information for installation and maintenance purposes.
  • Develop and review specifications for field instruments, control systems, and related items, ensuring they meet client requirements and industry standards.
  • Prepare and review DCS and ESD specifications, including all necessary details and technical requirements.
  • Review and approve vendor documents for instrumentation, ensuring they meet client requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct Technical Clarification Review meetings with clients to address any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Evaluate bids from vendors, ensuring they meet client requirements and industry standards.
  • Organize Kick-off meetings with successful bidders to discuss project details and timelines.
  • Liaise with disciplines within the company to ensure seamless project execution and coordination.
  • Prepare and manage Material Requisitions (MRs) and Purchase Requests (PRs), ensuring timely procurement and delivery of materials.
  • Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) as required by clients and perform size reviews of instrument items to ensure they meet client requirements and industry standards.
Requirements
  • Education: BSc./MSc. in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Experience: 05 to 10 Years' Experience of FEED & Detail Engineering in Oil and Gas Sector.
  • Expertise: Expertise in Engineering Design, including strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
  • Software Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel), with experience using other engineering design software as needed.
