About the role

At Clustox, we're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer to lead the development of scalable software solutions using Java. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software systems that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop secure, scalable applications using Core Java, adhering to best practices and standards.
  • Implement robust RESTful APIs, SOAP APIs, and microservices for seamless integration with other services, ensuring efficient data interchange and serialization/deserialization.
  • Apply design patterns and architectural best practices to build efficient, maintainable code, optimizing system performance and scalability.
  • Conduct thorough system and component design reviews to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Implement and manage encryption/decryption mechanisms to ensure data security and compliance, utilizing protocols like AES, RSA, and TLS.
  • Oversee production deployments, ensuring zero downtime and implementing robust rollback mechanisms, guaranteeing high system availability.
  • Monitor applications post-deployment, handle troubleshooting, and improve system stability, minimizing downtime and errors.
  • Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions, streamlining development workflows and enhancing collaboration.
  • Develop database schemas, write optimized queries, and manage integrations with relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Mentor junior developers, promoting best practices in code quality, documentation, and testing, fostering a culture of excellence within the team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Java: 3+ years of hands-on experience in Core Java, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
  • Design Patterns: Deep knowledge of design patterns (e.g., Singleton, Factory, Observer) and their practical applications, ensuring efficient and scalable code.
  • Microservices Architecture: Experience in developing and managing microservices-based architectures, with a focus on modularity, flexibility, and scalability.
  • SOAP and REST APIs: Hands-on experience with both RESTful and SOAP APIs, ensuring efficient data interchange and processing.
  • JSON/XML: Proficiency in JSON and XML for data interchange and processing, with a focus on data serialization/deserialization.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Proficiency in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions, streamlining development workflows and enhancing collaboration.
  • Database Management: Hands-on experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis), ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Version Control and Collaboration: Git for version control; JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools for collaboration, ensuring effective team communication and project management.
  • Testing Frameworks: Proficient with JUnit, Mockito, or other testing frameworks for unit and integration testing, ensuring robust and reliable code.
  • Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud services such as AWS is highly desirable, ensuring scalability, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness.
