Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Collector to assist with various studies and projects within our department. This role will involve conducting participant screening and recruitment, administering structured surveys and questionnaires, collecting and recording data, and transcribing qualitative interviews while maintaining participant confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct participant screening and recruitment for diverse research studies
  • Administer structured surveys and questionnaires to gather data
  • Collect, record, and ensure the accuracy of quantitative and qualitative data
  • Transcribe qualitative interviews while upholding participant confidentiality
  • Organise and document study materials and field notes for efficient project management
  • Coordinate with participants to schedule interviews and manage appointments in a timely manner
  • Maintain strict adherence to research protocols and ethical standards during all data collection activities
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Intermediate level education from a recognised institution
  • At least one year of experience in community-based data collection
  • Strong understanding of field research protocols, including participant consent and ethical guidelines
  • Proficiency in using digital tools and data entry platforms; experience with REDCap is highly preferred
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse community members
  • Fluency in Sindhi is essential
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and local languages such as Urdu and Sindhi
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within diverse teams
  • Willingness to travel regularly to field sites and adapt to changing project needs
