Job Title: Airport Operations Manager

The role of an Airside Manager is pivotal in maintaining the integrity and functionality of airside operations, directly impacting the overall passenger experience and airport reputation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day airside operations, including departure and arrival handling, cargo transfer, baggage services.
  • Manage a team of Duty Managers and airside staff, ensuring safe, secure, and enjoyable experiences for passengers.
  • Coordinate with airlines, attend regular meetings, and facilitate system trials and terminal moves.
  • Monitor shift reports, resolve follow-up items, and ensure sufficient staffing levels to deliver on Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Plan and ensure all staff are current in mandatory certifications, develop, appraise, and discipline teams within assigned terminals.
Requirements:
  • Possess a degree or higher from a recognised institution, or demonstrable experience in lieu of a degree.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing operations at an airline or ground handling company.
  • Able to perform shift duties, work in a high-stress environment, and make sound decisions in crises.
