Job Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled cloud engineer to support our software engineering team. This role will lead the design of scalable software architecture using Infrastructure as Code, and work with developers from across different teams to create a highly scalable and reliable system on the cloud.

The ideal candidate for this role will have hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Terraform and possess good problem-solving skills and effective communication skills.

  • Design and implement scalable Kubernetes infrastructure for various services
  • Optimize Kubernetes cluster performance and resource utilization
  • Troubleshoot production issues
  • Ensure site reliability of the infrastructure and maintain disaster recovery plans
  • Document DevOps processes and apply practices for Infrastructure as Code
  • Automate deployment processes for new services

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable software architectures
  • Develop and maintain continuous integration and delivery pipelines
  • Work closely with developers to ensure smooth deployment and monitoring of applications
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to improve the efficiency of the DevOps team
  • Manage and optimize infrastructure resources

Required Skills:

  • Hands-on experience in setting up scalable architectures and systems, with caching, message queues, databases, microservices, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes concepts like pods, services, deployments, and secrets
  • Experience in containerizing applications with Docker
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash
  • 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform (Azure experience preferred)
  • Ability to set up monitoring, logging, and alerting for Kubernetes clusters
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and security best practices, and Kubernetes networking, and pod security policies
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering or similar role
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
