Pharmacy Dispenser

As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy store. Your primary responsibility will be to receive, verify, and handle medicines and other goods from suppliers. You will ensure that they are stored under prescribed conditions, such as temperature, to maintain their efficacy.

You will arrange stock according to the First Expired First Out (FEFO) method, which ensures that older stocks are used before newer ones. This not only optimizes inventory but also reduces waste and minimizes the risk of expired or damaged products.

In addition to receiving and storing goods, you will prepare and maintain records of Goods Received Notes (GRNs) daily. You will submit these records to the billing department for accurate accounting and financial management.

You will also assist in filling requisitions from all departments, following established protocols for goods issue. This involves coordinating with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure that medication and supplies are available when needed.

To maintain a clean and organized environment, you will ensure that refrigerators, racks, and tables are kept clean and free from clutter. You will also coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure that temperature, light, and cleanliness standards are met in the pharmacy store.

Furthermore, you will assist in monitoring the physical stock of all daily issued and received goods. This includes tracking inventory levels, identifying discrepancies, and reporting any issues to the relevant authorities.

Finally, you will transport medicines and other goods from stores to different pharmacy locations as required. You may also provide coverage for pharmacy assistants in their absence, taking on additional responsibilities as needed.
