Job Overview

We are seeking a leader to guide the development of our managed Observability product offering. This person will be responsible for guiding a mixed-skill engineering team, facilitating communications, providing clarity of vision and priority, and empowering the team to create solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

The mission is to simplify the observability experience so customers can focus on building and operating their applications. The Insights team aims to empower DigitalOcean customers to achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of engineers developing APIs and infrastructure for our observability solutions.
  • Develop efficient team methods to deliver value to our customers.
  • Collaborate with UI, UX, customer success, marketing, and engineering teams.
  • Develop Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to measure and report on the success of the team.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define roadmaps to build products for our developer community.
Requirements
  • Experience building software used by thousands of users.
  • Awareness and interest in learning areas such as Golang, gRPC principles, infrastructure operations, large language models.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team where individuals enjoy coming to work, know what needs to be done, and have resources to get their job done.
