Network Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to provide technical support for network operations and to assist in the implementation of NMS tools across the region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing ITSM/NMS cases, designing and optimizing networks, and collaborating with teams to ensure efficient and secure network operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage ITSM/NMS cases and collaborate with teams to resolve issues.
  • Assist in the implementation of NMS tools, including SolarWinds, ManageEngine, HaloITSM, and Quest.
  • Design and optimize network infrastructure.
  • Provide technical support for network operations.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify and resolve customer satisfaction issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with deadlines and timelines for support and deployment TAT.

Requirements

Knowledge:

  • Understanding of network infrastructure, hardware, and protocols (TCP/IP, routing, switching).
  • Familiarity with ITSM platforms and network management solutions (SolarWinds, ManageEngine, etc.).
  • Basic concepts of network security, firewalls, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Awareness of inventory management and IT audit processes.

Skills:

  • Technical troubleshooting of hardware and software issues on client systems.
  • Deploying, configuring, and maintaining ITSM and NMS solutions.
  • Clear and concise technical documentation and reporting.
  • Effective communication and collaboration within IT teams.
  • Time management and multitasking on daily tasks and projects.

Abilities:

  • Diagnose and escalate complex technical issues appropriately.
  • Adapt to new technologies and quickly learn ITSM/NMS tools.
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in documentation and inventory management.
  • Work independently under supervision and as part of a team.

Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a network engineer.

  • R&S, VIOP, Security
  • Expert level in Cisco or Juniper (either).
  • Expert level in Citrix, RSA.
