About the Role:
The Community Animal Health Officer will play a critical role in facilitating communities in adopting sustainable welfare measures to improve the health and welfare of their equine animals. They will work closely with our team to develop and implement effective strategies to promote animal welfare and provide quality veterinary services.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate communities in adopting sustainable welfare measures to improve the health and welfare of their equine animals.
- Work with local service providers, government vets, and para-vets to train them in enhancing the quality of service delivery to equine animals.
- Provide quality veterinary services to working equine animals.
- Conduct awareness-raising meetings/sessions for primary stakeholders in target communities/camps regarding disease prevention and basic equine management practices/minimum standards of care.
- Excellent computer and communication skills are required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Requirements:
- Degree in DVM from an accredited university/institute with a CGPA of 3 or above (MPhil completed will be considered a plus).
